Our Awards Program

In order for us to operate and maintain an elite program, it takes a lot of hard work, commitment and dedication from members of our program.  Florida Travel Ball takes great pride in honoring players, teams, and other members of the baseball community who are committed to excellence in the sport of baseball.

We are dedicated to recognizing outstanding youth baseball players, their parents, coaches and associated organizations, regardless of league, park, or school affiliation. We know the sport and what it means to you - participant and enthusiast. Our goal is to reward great achievements which will enhance the youth baseball experience for the entire family. The player improves his skills and is more successful. The family enjoys the activity more and shares this precious time in their family.

All individuals who are members of Florida Travel Ball are eligible to receive awards from our program. Each year, Florida Travel Ball invites members and the general public to submit nominations for our annual awards, which are awarded at our awards banquet in January. The intent of these awards is to recognize athletes, officials, coaches, administrators, etc.  For an athlete or team, the information given for the nominee's achievements must be for the current calendar year.

Important Information

Please complete the nomination form appropriate to the category and fax to 321-251-6159 no later than October 1, 2009.

Each nomination form must be accompanied by detailed documentation of the achievements/contributions of each candidate.

The quality of the nomination goes a long way in helping the selection committee in understanding the accomplishments of each nominee. It also helps us to provide factual presentation for media releases and citations should the candidate be selected a finalist or winner. The following examples are intended to help guide you in the preparation of your nomination.

  • If describing a major accomplishment by an athlete of team. Please submit more than the overall result. Don't just say - "Won the Conference USSSA Florida State Championship."

  • Provide scores, details of competition preceding the final event, season record, league/club performance, progressing through the championship tournament or bracket.

  • Also indicate any other awards or recognition attained (i.e. MVP, top scorer, etc.)
  • Other information of value could include - retaining title, defeating previous or defending champion, win-loss record, etc. Emphasis will be placed on an athlete's dedication and commitment to training.
