Online Roster & Moves - Project Clean-Up

Is your roster current? Are there existing players on your roster who no longer plays with your team? These questions are extremely important. I would like to introduce to you...PROJECT CLEANUP. In the next 72 hours please find time to review your roster and get it cleaned up. On Thursday, February 11, 2010 at midnight all rosters from Northeast Florida to South Florida will be LOCKED. As a result, any changes made to your roster after Thursday will need to be done by the state office.

Any changes made to your roster starting this Friday will need to be done by our office. You will not be allowed to make changes to your roster without approval. This rule has been implemented to monitor all roster moves and additions. Please take time to review the Florida Supplemental Rules in addition to the USSSA Playing Rules & Bylaws located on our website at www.FloridaTravelBall.com.

In the midst of everything, the simple task of cleaning your roster can't be lost.

  1. Review the Florida Supplemental Rules which are attached to the USSSA Playing Rule and Bylaws on our website at www.FloridaTravelBall.com.
  2. Remove all players who are no longer a part of your team. No player will be allow to legally show up on two rosters within the same age division.
  3. Make sure that your player's first name, last name (no middle names, nick names, shortened names, slang names, initials, prefixes or suffixes are llowed) and date of birth MUST be listed EXACTLY as they appear on his original certificate pursuant to USSSA Rule 3.03.
  4. All player demographics MUST be completed on online roster. Include player's name, DOB, address, phone number and email address.

Please NOTE: Once rosters are locked teams are subject to classification changes after review without notice. Players will NOT be allowed to jump from one class to another at no time during the remainder of the season. However, players are allowed to always move up in class but can not return to original class.

F11.00 - PLAYER ELIGIBLITY & ROSTER MOVES
  • F11.01 - Effective the second Thursday in February of each spring season, all rosters within the state will be LOCKED by the state office. Any additions or changes made at this point MUST by done by the state office with the approval of district director assigned to team's prospective district.
  • F11.02 - Comment to USSSA Rule 3.05.A.1 - Players are allowed to move from roster to roster TWICE after LOCK DATE. After player's second move, player is NO LONGER eligible to play with any other team in the same age division until season is concluded - July 31st.
  • F11.02.A - If PLAYER moves from Team A to Team B, Team A msut remove player from roster. This move will be considered player's 1st MOVE.
  • F11.02.B - If PLAYER moves from his current Team B to Team C or back to Team A he will NO LONGER be eligible to play with any other team in this age division. This will be player's 2nd and FINAL roster move for season.
  • F11.03 - After March 1st, team rosters will FREEZE once team qualifies for World Series berth regardless if they accept berth or not. Team must finish in top 25% of any World Series qualifier for roster to become FROZEN.
  • F11.03.A - Any player returning back to previous roster during move and returning team's roster was frozen, the player will only be allowed to return as one of team's three (3) adds. No exception!

It is your responsibility to review the USSSA Player Rules & Florida Supplemental Rules. Ignorance is not an excuse to not comply with any of these rules. All cases will be handled fair but FIRM.

Several FTB Events Added In Central Florida!

We are excited to announce that we have added additional tournament dates to our list of FTB events in Central Florida for 13U and 14U divisions. These events will be 13U Open and 14U Pre-Freshmen.

We are aware that a number of players who are pre-Freshman are not eligible to play in USSSA events in the 14U age based division. As a result, we have created the 14U Pre-Freshmen division for the events we have added below. Therefore, any player who is in 8th grade is eligible to compete in these events.

For scholastic (grade) based divisions 14U-18U, participation is based on age and scholastic grade. A league age 15U player who is currently in the 8th grade and has documentation to prove such is eligible to participate in the 14U Pre-Freshmen division offered in the events listed below ONLY. If the demand is greater than we expect, we will look into adding a 14U Pre-Freshmen class in the Florida State Championship.
